The University of Algarve (www.ualg.pt) is a public institution, constituted by eight Faculties and Schools: Higher school of Education and Communication, Higher school of management, hotels and tourism; Higher school of Health studies; Institute of Engineering; Faculty of Human and Social Sciences; Faculty of Economy; Department of Biomedical Sciences and Medicine and Faculty of Sciences and Technologies. The University hosts 7800 students, being 20% non-nationals.
The University has two Campus (Penha at the city of Faro, and Gambelas, 6 Km from Faro centre). The University has 40 years and is established in Faro, the capital of the region of Algarve, in the south of Portugal.
Where to eat during the conference days
Several places are available inside and close to the Campus. Inside the Campus there are several coffee shops, a canteen and a restaurant. Several restaurants are available, outside the campus, at a distance of 100 meters from the University entrance.
